I’m a First Year Ph.D student of Mathematics at KU since Fall 2025. I graduated with a major in Math from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2023 and from Universidad de Los Andes in 2025, With a Masters in Mathematics. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia.

Research Interests

I’m interested in enumerative and algebraic combinatorics, especially if it has intersections with geometry, both algebraic and discrete. More specifically I enjoy to learn Matroid Theory, Tropical Geometry, Combinatorial Commutative algebra.

During my undergrad I worked with geometric lattices and matroids. Afterwards in my masters I worked with the matroids over the tropical-signed hyperfield and its relation with tropical linear spaces. Currently I would like to learn as much algebraic geometry and commutative algebra as I can, so I can apply it to combinatorics problems.
